Nasa's Water Research Satellites to be Launch May 22

Nasa has been playing a major role in water cycle research. Many of the missions are currently measuring the planet’s water cycle variables. Data from the past 14 years has been analyzed from Nasa’s twin Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment satellites (known as GRACE) which shows overuse of groundwater which has dramatically changed the global water landscape. Areas of excessive groundwater pumping include Southern California, northern India, the North China Plain and parts of Saudi Arabia.
