water
isn't
anything
new.
The
US
Civil
Defense
program
stored
water
in
steel
cans
as
an
emergency
water
supply
during
the
last
century.
It
was
known
to
have
a
long
shelf
life
of
ten
years
or
more.
Anheuser
Busch
regularly
donates
hundreds
of
thousands
of
cans
of
water
to
victims
of
hurricanes
and
floods
and
even
to
the
residents
of
Flint
Michigan
during
their
contamination
crisis.
But
today,
canned
water
is
beginning
to
transcend
the
image
of
disaster-relief
to
a
new,
hip,
more
ecologically
desirable
container
for
bottled
water.
