Roberto Ferdman, a writer with the Washington Post, penned a recent article "Our Other Drinking Problem" (August 28th) attacking the bottled water industry. This article came on the heels of the information that over the next two years, bottled water is expected to eclipse soda as the most consumed packaged drink in the U. S. Rather than celebrating how bottled water will outpace soda, which represents a positive shift in Americans? understanding of their health, Mr. Ferdman ignores the reality that soda provides absolutely no health benefit while water does.
