idea
was
simple.
Students
at
the
University
of
Vermont
(UVM)
in
Burlington
decided
to
band
together
to
ban
bottled
water
on
their
campus.
Problem
was
-
they
didn't
anticipate
the
outcome.
This
is
a
story
of
the
unexpected,
a
hint
as
to
human
habits,
and
the
rationale
of
not
being
too
rigid.
On
December
5,
2012
at
lunchtime
on
the
very
last
day
of
classes,
UVM
celebrated
the
end
of
bottled
water
sales
on
their
campus
with
a
"Bottled
Water
Retirement
Party."
The
battle
over
the
bottle
was
over
and
the
voice
of
reason
was
applauded.
