Islands Of Bottled Water: How Real is the Pacific Ocean Garbage Patch?

For years the media has reported about the Pacific Ocean gyre, or garbage patch, a sizable "island of plastic" including water bottles floating in the ocean, a hazard of massive proportions caused mainly by - you guessed it - bottled water. The problem is, their information is wrong.
