I recently bought 18000 Cartons of Bottled Water from FEMA. The Water has expired. GSA has given me a letter stating that the water is good for another 2 years. What should i do? where can i market it ?

Ship it to a third world country. It won't be worth marketing in the US. There are a few exceptions. Maybe Michael Jackson would buy it to fill his swimming pool. I hear he takes baths in Evian.

why would you buy so much expired bottled water without a plan to do anything with it beforehand?

18,000 cartons of bottled water seems like a weird impulse buy..

Like it or not, the reason that water had a date on it is because it is considered a food product by the FDA. All food products must be coded for expiration. You can not sell an expired product i the US. (per the FDA)

Also, there is a very real possibility that the water has been tainted by one or more chemical compounds that have been proven to be in PETE plastic. Chemical compounds that also exist in lead acid batteries. I received this information from a very reliable (he thought confidential)source - the manager of an Aquafina bottling facility.

Now the moral question...

If the water IS contaminated, what do you do with it? Could you feel good about yourself if you sold this water to people? Would you be comfortable just dumping the water out, knowing that it may well contaminate natural water sources?

Gotta love bottled water!

Hi:

I have a similar dilemma, I have expired bottled water, but i didn't buy it. But I was wondering if you have had any luck selling the water?

Thanks.
