Company History: Spa's source is located in the valley of the Ardennes in Belgium. It was first discovered by ancient Romans and in 1583 was the first bottled water to be exported to no one less than King Henri II of France. Along with Spa's first steps in developing an international bottled water industry it also inadvertently exported the town's name, Spa, which became synonymous with most natural springs and health resorts.

the High Venn near Spa is the spring called Reine (the Queen's Spring). Rain and snow-melt falls on a moss area of La Fagne, a plateau 575 meters above sea level. It percolates down through layers of clay, slate, flint, sand and quartz where it finally surfaces at 440 meters above sea level.

Distribution: This low mineralized water is particle filtered of unstable elements and then bottled with neither pasteurization or sterilization. It is sold in the United States in 1.5, 1 and .33 liter PET, 1/2 liter PET and PVC, and 0.25 liter glass bottles. The sparkling brand, SPA Barisart is bottled in 0.25 and 1 liter glass bottles. In the United States it is available in New England, New York, New Jersey, Mid-Atlantic States and all Southeast States except Florida.
