Company History: In 1972 Claude Hicks contacted an experienced water well driller that was known for his gift with a dowsing rod to see if he would drill a well on his Granville Ohio property. The man told Claude he would drill but it would cost him by the foot and he would decide when they hit the right water. Claude knew the man had a gift so he agreed to his terms.
The man walked and walked Claude's property with his dowsing rod and finally picked a site to drill. Claude asked the man how deep he would have to drill. The man smiled and told Claude as far as they needed to, to get to the best water in the country. Claude was nerves because he could see a well that could end up being way deeper than his pockets but he trusted this experienced dowser.
The man started drilling and every time Claude would see water coming from the well he would ask the man if they had hit and how deep they were. The man would just smile and tell Claude, not yet we are not deep enough. Claude was being to worry that the well was becoming deeper than his pockets. He had asked the man six times and the answer was always the same.
Claude became even more worried when the man hit a very hard rock formation and destroyed a drill bit. The man would have six more bits destroyed before he got through the rock formation. When they got through the rock formation water again came from the well and again Claude ask the man if they had hit. The man smiled and said, "yes Claude big time".
Claude took the water for testing and the tests confirmed that the water was everything the man said it would be. For over thirty years the only people to receive the benefits of this water was Claude's family and friends.
In 2002 after the Federal Government declared water a food source, Claude decided to find out if he could bottle the water and make the benefits available to all the people who understood the importance of water and mineral content for good health.
Claude went to the Ohio EPA to get approval to build a bottling plant on his property and bottle water. He was granted approval to build as long as the water meet all requirements of the USDA/FDA. He received his license to bottle water and in March of 2005 Mother Nature's Finest Artesian Mineral Water became available to everyone.
